Gobbler's Run 5K

Thank you for your participation in the 3rd Annual Gobbler's Run 5K Family Event in Wake Forest, NC.
In just three years we have gone from zero experience in putting on a race to over 1,000 participants!
Each year our numbers have continued to surprise, please, and overwhelm us.
Last year we experimented with a chip timing system.
Due to unforeseen circumstances, we were unable to use this chip timing system this year.
We knew that manually entering over a thousand times would be a monstrous task but attempted to use as many volunteers
as we could to do the best job possible. There were definitely inconsistencies and omissions in our entries and for this we truly apologize.
Please know we have lost sleep over not being able to provide acceptable timing for each participant this year.
We were still able to provide trophies, medals and gift certificates for over 60 age categories. Congratulations to all the winners!
Our goal has always been to raise money and support for the Wake Forest Boys & Girls Club while promoting a healthy, low cost, family event that develops into a Thanksgiving memory and tradition for you and your family.
We hope that you had a great time and that you are proud of your role in raising over $10,000 for the club.
